This year, the President’s Week conference was hosted by Nagel & Associates at ECI’s Exotic Caye Beach Resort, bringing together an exclusive group of international business leaders and corporate presidents.

Creating and supporting local communities is an integral component of ECI Development’s business philosophy, and this year’s President’s Week Silent Auction was the perfect opportunity to give back to several local and international not-for-profit organizations.

The five-day President’s Week conference brings an exclusive group of international business leaders and corporate presidents together to exchange insights on the economy, demographics and market trends, and new real estate opportunities. This year, the event was hosted by Nagel & Associates at ECI’s Exotic Caye Beach Resort, where esteemed guests got a sneak peek at the future oceanfront site of the highly anticipated Belize Marriott® Residences Ambergris Caye Resort.

The week’s festivities culminated in an exciting Silent Auction that raised an impressive $18,755 USD for three charity organizations: The Living Word Church of San Pedro, the Samuel Haynes Institute of Excellence in Belize City, and The Wheelchair Foundation.

The Living Word Church is a community church in San Pedro, just down the road from the new development at The Residences. In addition to its weekly services, the church provides prison ministry, an annual holiday toy drive for local children, and many other community outreach programs.

The Samuel Haynes Institute of Excellence (SHIE) offers programs in reading, math, music, and gardening as an alternative for at-risk local youth. Led by Barbara Elrington, SHIE also offers an Income Generating Program and mobile clinics for adults in the community who want to develop their skills in sewing, culinary arts, gardening and more.

The Wheelchair Foundation is a worldwide organization that aims to deliver wheelchairs to every child, teen, and adult who needs one but does not have the means to acquire one. To date, the Wheelchair Foundation has delivered hundreds of wheelchairs to people with disabilities in Belize, and more than a million wheelchairs worldwide.

Our gratitude to all of the attendees and speakers of the 2018 Presidents’ Week for their generous contributions and donations.
